Egypt secures 2028 Olympics volleyball berth with African Nations Championship victory

In the final of the 2026 Women's Volleyball African Nations Championship held in Nairobi, Kenya, the Egypt women's volleyball team defeated Kenya 3-0. This victory not only made Egypt the African champions but also secured a berth for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics for the continent of Africa - Egypt's first appearance in the world's biggest sporting event. Kenya finished second with the silver medal, while Cameroon won the bronze, and both teams qualified for the 2027 World Cup, giving Africa a total of three tickets.
